| Strive for Optimal Health is a comprehensive program that addresses participants’ total health. A result driven wellness model, Strive is built on four key elements of health:
- Nutrition
- Exercise
- Mindfulness
- Stress Management
A Certified Wellness Professional provides participants with educational resources and motivational tools to understand the importance of optimal health and sustainable well-being. Strive uses interactive education techniques that are fun, flexible and designed for real people with active lives. Each participant receives a personal diet and exercise plan, stress management recommendations and relevant strategies to affect change from those less-than-healthy habits.
Program Goal
Optimize the health of the individual through reduced health risks and inculcate healthy choices as a personal responsibility to attain and maintain enhanced well-being.
Program Details
Strive is taught in a group class setting by a Certified Wellness Professional specific to the key element of health that is being addressed (e.g. Registered Dietitian, Yoga Instructor, Personal Trainer). The class structure encourages a group environment in which each participant benefits from a foundation of motivational support. The facilitator applies effective methods that consider personal lifestyle and biometric profiles to establish a goal oriented personal wellness plan.
At the outset, each participant completes a personal health history and food frequency questionnaire, which is submitted to the Wellness Professional for assessment. The personal wellness plan is developed utilizing this information. Body fat and BMI are calculated. Additional Biometric Measurements (blood testing, blood pressure, etc.) are available if desired - (additional charges apply).
Upon completion of the program, personal biometrics (BMI and body fat) and the food frequency questionnaire are reevaluated to track progress and readjust goals as needed.
Program Structure
One-hour class for 7 consecutive weeks. Maximum enrollment 20 per class.
